Green waste and a wider garden clear-out
A garden project can leave more than hedge trimmings. Include branches, grass cuttings, old fencing, timber and other unwanted materials in your enquiry if they all need removing. Keep the descriptions separate so the team can see what is green waste and what belongs to another disposal stream. We collect the agreed contents and load the vehicle, so you do not have to fill a skip yourself. Photographs should cover every pile, including items stored beside a shed or at the far end of the garden, rather than only the nearest bags.
Garden load sizes and starting costs
Garden waste removal starts from £89. Our published Mini Load is 1 yd³ with up to 75 kg. The Small Load is £149 for 2 yd³ and up to 150 kg, while Medium is £189 for 4 yd³ and up to 300 kg. Large, X-Large and XX-Large are £259, £359 and £429, with the full limits listed below. These allowances help describe the waste but do not confirm a price for every pile. A fixed written quote follows assessment from photos or a free site visit, including the materials and access.
Heavy material is not priced by appearance alone
Soil, rubble and paving can weigh much more than a pile of cut branches occupying the same space. Tell us explicitly when these materials are included. Our loads have both cubic-yard and kilogram limits, so weight cannot be ignored when selecting a size. Branches and fencing can instead take more space than a photograph suggests. Show the whole material and give any useful description of its quantity. If a garden renovation also produces building waste, ask the team to assess the complete job rather than assuming the green-waste starting price covers everything together.
Sheds, decking and fencing
The existing garden service includes shed, decking and fencing removal. Explain whether the structure is still standing, already dismantled or filled with contents that also need clearing. Photograph both the outside and the inside where relevant. The quote should identify the work being requested, not just the volume of loose waste at the front. Keep tools, equipment and other belongings that are staying clearly separate. If you are uncertain about a material or its condition, ask before booking. We can check whether it is suitable for the standard service or needs specialist handling.
Rear gardens and restricted routes
A collection from a rear garden needs a loading route planned before the crew arrives. Show the side passage, steps or any route through the home. Our existing local service includes carrying through a property with floor protection where rear access is unavailable. Tell us if the waste is further from the stopping point or behind an outbuilding. Parking arrangements and the full address also matter. The customer does not need to carry everything to the pavement to obtain a quote, but access must be described so the team can assess the actual work.
Choosing a collection date in your area
Use the town links below for garden collection information in our existing Essex coverage areas. Southend-on-Sea and nearby towns have local pages explaining practical access and booking details. If the garden needs clearing before another stage of work begins, give the team that date when asking for a quote. Same-day and next-day options need confirming against availability. A form enquiry is not a reserved slot. If more waste is added after the quote, send updated photographs before the collection, particularly where new soil, timber or heavy rubble changes the load assessment.
Licensed waste handling after the tidy-up
Clear It is registered as an Upper Tier Waste Carrier under CBDU631149 and carries £5m public liability insurance. Collected waste is directed through licensed disposal routes, with reuse or recycling where suitable. A written waste transfer note is provided so you have a record of the collection. Do not mix asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles, clinical waste or paint in bulk into the standard garden load. Ask about anything uncertain before it is included. The accepted quote should reflect the complete agreed clearance and its disposal requirements, not a different pile discovered when the vehicle arrives.
