The quick answer
If you are renovating over several weeks and filling a container bit by bit, a skip makes sense. If the rubbish already exists — a garage, a loft, a garden, a flat — a loaded collection is normally faster and better value, because the loading, the sweep up and the licensed disposal are all included.
What you pay for with a collection
Our prices are fixed by the space your waste takes up on the truck: a single item is £49, a mini load (1 yd³) £89, a small load (2 yd³) £149, a medium load (4 yd³) £189, a large load (7 yd³) £259, an X-large load (10 yd³) £359 and a full 14 yd³ load £429.
You only pay for what actually goes on — if there is less than you thought, the price drops.
Things people forget with a skip
A skip price covers the container, not the work. Before booking one, check:
- Who does the loading — with a skip, it is you.
- Whether it has to sit on the road, which normally needs a council permit and adds time.
- Items most skip firms will not accept, such as mattresses, fridges and upholstered furniture.
- Whether you will actually fill it — a half-empty skip costs the same as a full one.
When we are the better fit
Clearances that are ready to go, awkward access (flats, terraces with no front drive, rear gardens), bulky furniture, and jobs where you cannot be there. We load, sweep up and leave a waste transfer note under our Upper Tier licence CBDU631149.
